They are neither practical, nor a must-have. However, they’re one of my favorite trends to wear right now: statement sleeves! Despite having their high in early 2017, I still see them in every store right now. I love how a big sleeve can totally transform even the plainest outfit. So, if you can get over the excess fabric making it harder to eat, type, or do anything – this trend is a good one to try in 2018. On the positive side, they totally replace gloves. Stay optimistic!

Wearing Big Sleeves

for a Casual Look

The two ways I like to wear this cropped sweater with trumpet sleeves: with high-waist jeans, or with a mini dress underneath. Obviously, I’m showing you version two today. It was the perfect opportunity to wear my fake leather dress in the daytime. I really like the contrast of textures in this look: the fluffy wool with the shiny faux leather. Unfortunately H&M doesn’t offer this particular sweater anymore, but I have linked some alternatives below.

I completed the look with my trusty studded boots by Office London, which I bought almost two years ago. Good news  – they are still available at Office London today. No wonder – they are extremely comfortable and absolutely perfect, if you need a little bit more of an edge for your outfit. This definitely won’t be the last look with statement sleeves. You know, for spring they do pretty blouses in that style as well.
